martin goode Martin Goode was born in London and showed
interest in sketching and cartooning from his early schooldays. He lived in Tillicoultry in Scotland for
five years, which inspired his passion for the rugged British countryside.
His non-stop drawing and cartooning soon turned to painting which he
continued to study in his home county of Essex.
Martin's attention to detail and carefully constructed compositions have made him one of the industry's most prolific and sought after watercolour artists. He has writeen articles for artists' magazines, has produced his own library of instruction videos, has held one man exhibitions and has demonstrated his watercolour techniques at many art exhibitions and seminars. Commissions for original paintings have been received from palaces, town councils, commercial organisations, art galleries and individual collectors. We are regular exhibitors at the Spring Fair, NEC Birmingham Martin Goode passed away in February 2002 after a sudden illness. Martin was much loved by his family and friends and greatly respected throughout the art world. As the founder of Martin Goode Watercolours some 15 years ago, Martin's unique talent as a fine watercolourist and excellent business mind has ensured the continuing success of the company. Martin Goode will be hugely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The company continues
operating with Martin's son and business partner, Vincent Goode at the
helm.
